One of my all time favourite ceremony locations ev

One of my all time favourite ceremony locations ever! There has never been a ceremony here (which is known of) and I’m so grateful that T&G pushed to have this for their ceremony.

I do admit I had a few reservations at first. Especially as I only saw the ceremony location 48 hours prior to the wedding as it was a bit of a last minute ‘this is the perfect spot’ decision.

Here are some of my initial concerns
1. If it rains guests are going to get wet!
2. How are we going to get 120 chairs onto the site as there is only access by foot?
3. The ground is sloping and uneven will the chairs be stable enough for guests to sit on?

The solution
1. Let’s make sure there is a back up which came in the form of The Bobbin Mill a 2 minute walk away.
2. Thankfully the lovely furniture supplier @edeneventhire had a 4x4 so managed to off road to partway up the track and helped me to set up the 120 chairs.
3. I sat on nearly every chair to make sure guests wouldn’t topple off (and thankfully no one did on the day!)

This is why I LOVE my job!

I love it when my couples challenge me and push to do things which have never been done before. I love problem solving and feeling slightly scared that I might not be able to come up with a solution but know I have to no matter what. I love that I get to work with the BEST suppliers who go above and beyond to help make the day a success.

So here is your reminder that your wedding is all about doing the things which feel personal and unique to you ❤️

Currently holding back the tears. Two of the kindest hearted people I could have ever hoped to meet. I can’t believe our time planning together is now over.

Thank you for taking me back to The Lakes and asking me to help plan your exceptional wedding celebration.

The level of trust you have placed with me over the last 12 months is monumental especially with you being based in the States.

With many complex elements, the majority of guests travelling from the States and a challenging location came a great sense of responsibility and I’m so pleased it all came together just how you imagined. Which wouldn’t have been possible without this outstanding team of suppliers!

There is no right or wrong way to book your team of suppliers. What I would say is start with your priorities.

Who are the suppliers you just can’t imagine your day without? Who is really high up on your list of priorities?

These are the suppliers you’re going to want to get booked sooner rather than later, especially if you’ve chosen to get married on a Saturday in the height of summer.

You will want to create a team who encapsulates your vibe so it’s key to do your research. Before booking check out the suppliers website and instagram, go to wedding fairs and meet them in person, arrange a 1-1 chat. Do you like their style? Does their work align with what you hope to achieve? Do you like their personality? Do you think you’re going to get on?

You will be working with your team of supplier closely on the lead up to your wedding and on the day itself so it’s key that you’re going to enjoy working together.

Eeeek, not long now until my summer season officially starts and I am looking forward to being back coordinating (if not a tiny bit nervous. It’s a big responsibility being asked to be a part of a couples wedding!)

Can’t quite believe it’s the 1st of May today

Can’t quite believe it’s the 1st of May today (where is this year going??) It’s officially 1 month until the start of my gorgeous summer weddings. It is currently non stop here in the office making sure everything has been double checked and signed off, suppliers have been contacted and we’re ready to go.
