My love for marquee weddings runs deep, so I’m very lucky that I get to help plan and coordinate some beautiful marquee weddings.

Here’s why they hold a special place in my heart ❤️

✨As long as you have a nice flat piece of land you can pretty much pitch a marquee anywhere you like (get permission from the landowner first though 🤣) meaning you can hold your wedding celebrations somewhere completely personal to you

✨ They are a blank canvas so you can style them however you like (no unsightly carpets in sight!) and the light that they let in is unreal

✨ You’re not restricted in the suppliers you choose (some venues only allow you to use their recommended suppliers)

✨ You can party all weekend if you like (most marquee companies allocate a 5 day hire - 1 day to set up the marquee, 3 days for you to style and hold your wedding celebrations & 1 day to pack down the marquee)

✨ There’s no curfew, so if you want to party until 2:00am then do it (most venues have a cut off of 12:00am, sometimes even earlier!)

Just finished a mammoth office session of updating function sheets ready for consultations, supplier sourcing, budget and planning timeline updates.

It’s nice to get a head start ready for a full on week next week which is planned to be packed full of lovely consultations and a fun little Christmas do with @charlottes_floral_design & @hervejonesdesigns!

One of my favourite moments of a wedding day (I ha

One of my favourite moments of a wedding day (I have many!) is when you’re sat down enjoying your meal surrounded by your friends and family.

There is no right or wrong when it comes to your wedding breakfast. I’ve had everything over the years from 1 course to 3 courses, plated choice, sharing platters, dessert stations, food trucks and BBQ’s.

Just remember the best food is the one which makes your heart happy so don’t be afraid to choose that for your wedding day!

One of my all time favourite ceremony locations ev

One of my all time favourite ceremony locations ever! There has never been a ceremony here (which is known of) and I’m so grateful that T&G pushed to have this for their ceremony.

I do admit I had a few reservations at first. Especially as I only saw the ceremony location 48 hours prior to the wedding as it was a bit of a last minute ‘this is the perfect spot’ decision.

Here are some of my initial concerns
1. If it rains guests are going to get wet!
2. How are we going to get 120 chairs onto the site as there is only access by foot?
3. The ground is sloping and uneven will the chairs be stable enough for guests to sit on?

The solution
1. Let’s make sure there is a back up which came in the form of The Bobbin Mill a 2 minute walk away.
2. Thankfully the lovely furniture supplier @edeneventhire had a 4x4 so managed to off road to partway up the track and helped me to set up the 120 chairs.
3. I sat on nearly every chair to make sure guests wouldn’t topple off (and thankfully no one did on the day!)

This is why I LOVE my job!

I love it when my couples challenge me and push to do things which have never been done before. I love problem solving and feeling slightly scared that I might not be able to come up with a solution but know I have to no matter what. I love that I get to work with the BEST suppliers who go above and beyond to help make the day a success.

So here is your reminder that your wedding is all about doing the things which feel personal and unique to you ❤️
